4. Sensitive, Financial, Health & Insurance Information

Insurance transactions may require information that is considered sensitive, confidential, or protected under applicable federal or state law.

Depending on the insurance service requested, this may include health or medical information, household-income information, government identification information, Social Security numbers, insurance identifiers, Marketplace information, citizenship or immigration information, and other information required for eligibility, underwriting, enrollment, identity verification, or policy administration.

We collect and use sensitive information only for purposes reasonably necessary to provide insurance-related services, satisfy authorized consumer requests, comply with applicable law, maintain security, or perform other legally permitted activities.

Umanzor Insurance Group does not sell Social Security numbers, detailed health or medical information, financial-account credentials, Marketplace application information, or insurance application information in exchange for monetary consideration.

We do not knowingly use detailed health information, Social Security numbers, financial-account credentials, Marketplace application information, or insurance application information for cross-context behavioral or targeted advertising.

Please do not submit Social Security numbers, detailed medical information, financial-account credentials, or similar highly sensitive information through a general website contact form unless we specifically request the information through an appropriate method for an authorized insurance transaction.

5. Calls, Text Messages & Emails

When you provide contact information and affirmatively consent through a website form, advertising lead form, telephone conversation, electronic communication, or another consent mechanism, Umanzor Insurance Group and its authorized licensed insurance agents or representatives may contact you regarding the products, services, or information identified in the applicable consent disclosure.

Depending on the consent you provide, communications may include telephone calls, text messages, and emails and may use automated technology and/or an artificial or prerecorded voice where permitted by applicable law.

Consent to receive marketing calls or text messages is not a condition of purchasing insurance or receiving an insurance quote. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency may vary.

You may reply STOP to an applicable text message to request that marketing text messages stop and HELP for assistance. Marketing emails may include an unsubscribe link.

You may also revoke consent through another reasonable method recognized by applicable law, including by contacting Umanzor Insurance Group using the information below.

The particular consent disclosure presented when you provide your information controls the scope of the communications you authorize. This Privacy Policy itself does not create consent to receive marketing communications.

A marketing opt-out does not necessarily prevent communications that are legally permitted or reasonably necessary regarding an existing policy, requested transaction, application, enrollment, servicing matter, security issue, or other non-marketing purpose.

6. How Information May Be Disclosed

We may disclose personal information when reasonably necessary to provide requested insurance services, operate our business, maintain security, satisfy regulatory requirements, or perform the other purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

Recipients may include:

  • Licensed Umanzor Insurance Group insurance agents and authorized personnel
  • Insurance carriers and insurance-related organizations
  • The Health Insurance Marketplace, CMS, and other authorized government or Marketplace systems where applicable
  • Authorized Direct Enrollment or Enhanced Direct Enrollment platforms
  • Customer relationship management providers
  • Website hosting and technology providers
  • Email, telephone, SMS, scheduling, and communication providers
  • Identity-verification, fraud-prevention, cybersecurity, and compliance providers
  • Analytics and advertising providers as described below
  • Attorneys, accountants, consultants, and other professional advisers or service providers
  • Insurance regulators, courts, government agencies, law enforcement, or other parties when disclosure is required or permitted by law
  • A successor or prospective successor in connection with a merger, acquisition, restructuring, financing, sale, or transfer of some or all of our business, subject to applicable legal requirements

Where appropriate, service providers are expected to process information for authorized purposes and subject to applicable contractual or legal requirements.

We do not authorize third parties to use sensitive insurance, Marketplace, financial, or health information for unrelated purposes where that use would violate applicable law.

7. Cookies, Pixels, Analytics & Advertising Technologies

Our websites may use cookies, pixels, tags, analytics tools, advertising technologies, and similar technologies to operate the website, remember preferences, understand visitor activity, measure advertising performance, improve our services, and support advertising campaigns.

These technologies may include services such as Meta Pixel, Meta advertising tools, Google Analytics, Google Ads measurement tools, GoHighLevel technologies, and similar services if and when enabled.

Information processed through these technologies may include:

  • IP address
  • Browser and device information
  • Device or advertising identifiers
  • Approximate geographic location
  • Referring website, search, or advertisement
  • Pages viewed
  • Links or buttons clicked
  • Website and form interactions
  • Date and time of visits
  • Advertising campaign and conversion information

You may be able to control cookies through your browser settings and any privacy or cookie controls made available on our website. Disabling certain technologies may affect website functionality or our ability to measure advertising performance.

8. Global Privacy Control & Universal Opt-Out Signals

Certain states allow consumers to exercise particular privacy rights through recognized browser-based or device-based universal opt-out preference signals.

Where applicable law requires Umanzor Insurance Group to recognize a qualifying signal, such as Global Privacy Control ("GPC") or another legally recognized universal opt-out mechanism, we will process that signal as an applicable request to opt out of activities such as the sale or sharing of personal information or processing for targeted advertising.

A browser-based opt-out generally applies to the browser or device from which the signal is received unless applicable law requires otherwise or we are able to associate the signal with an authenticated consumer account.

The effect of a universal privacy signal may vary depending on your state of residence, the applicable privacy law, whether Umanzor Insurance Group is subject to that law, and whether the particular information or processing activity is exempt under insurance, financial-privacy, or other specialized laws.

Legacy browser "Do Not Track" signals that are not legally recognized universal opt-out mechanisms may not receive the same treatment unless applicable law requires otherwise.

9. Sale, Sharing & Targeted Advertising

Umanzor Insurance Group does not sell consumer leads, customer files, or personal information in exchange for monetary consideration.

We may disclose limited online identifiers, device information, and website activity to analytics or advertising providers for purposes such as measuring advertising effectiveness, attribution, understanding campaign performance, and supporting advertising activities.

Some state privacy laws use broad definitions of "sale," "sharing," or "targeted advertising" that may include certain advertising-technology disclosures even when no money is paid in exchange for the information.

Where applicable law gives you the right to opt out of such processing, Umanzor Insurance Group will honor eligible requests as required by law.

We do not knowingly sell or share Social Security numbers, financial-account credentials, detailed medical information, insurance application information, or Marketplace application information for targeted advertising.

If we ever establish a program that constitutes a financial incentive for personal information under applicable law, we will provide any separate notice and obtain any consent required before participating consumers are enrolled in that program.

10. Insurance Privacy & Nonpublic Personal Information

Information collected in connection with an insurance transaction may be subject to federal or state insurance privacy laws and may constitute nonpublic personal financial information, nonpublic personal health information, or other legally protected insurance information.

Where such laws apply, we use and disclose this information only as permitted by applicable federal and state insurance privacy laws, carrier requirements, regulatory obligations, and other applicable legal requirements.

We may receive insurance-related information directly from consumers, insurance applications, insurance carriers, Marketplace systems, and other authorized sources.

Privacy protections applicable to customer information may continue after a customer relationship ends where required by law.

This website Privacy Policy does not replace a separate financial-privacy, insurance-privacy, carrier, consumer health-data, or other notice that Umanzor Insurance Group or an insurance carrier may be legally required to provide in connection with a particular insurance transaction or customer relationship.

11. Health Insurance Marketplace Information & Consent

When a licensed Umanzor Insurance Group agent assists a consumer with Marketplace coverage, additional privacy, security, authorization, consumer-consent, application-review, and recordkeeping requirements may apply.

Where required, we obtain and document consumer consent before using Marketplace personally identifiable information to perform activities such as:

  • Providing Marketplace quotes or estimates using consumer information
  • Searching for an existing Marketplace eligibility application
  • Creating or completing an eligibility application
  • Helping enroll a consumer in a Marketplace plan
  • Updating an eligibility application or plan selection
  • Checking Marketplace eligibility or coverage status

Marketplace consumer consent is separate from consent to receive marketing telephone calls, text messages, or emails. Submission of a general lead form does not by itself authorize every Marketplace action that an agent might otherwise be able to perform.

Where required, consumers will be provided an opportunity to review and confirm the accuracy of Marketplace eligibility application information before submission.

Marketplace consumer-consent documentation and required application-review records may be retained for at least 10 years where required by CMS rules, even if the consumer later withdraws consent or no longer works with the agent or agency.

Marketplace information may be provided to CMS, the applicable Marketplace, insurance carriers, authorized enrollment systems, and other parties as necessary to provide authorized Marketplace assistance or satisfy applicable legal requirements.

12. Data Retention & Disposal

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected and to satisfy applicable insurance, Marketplace, regulatory, contractual, legal, audit, security, and recordkeeping requirements.

Retention periods may vary based on the type of information, insurance product or service, applicable state law, insurance-carrier requirements, our relationship with the consumer, and other legal requirements.

Certain Marketplace consumer-consent and application-review documentation may be required to be retained for at least 10 years.

Information may also be retained for a reasonable period to prevent fraud, demonstrate regulatory compliance, resolve disputes, respond to government inquiries, or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

When personal information is no longer required, we take reasonable measures to delete, destroy, deidentify, or otherwise securely dispose of information in accordance with applicable requirements.

Residual information may remain temporarily in secure backup or archival systems until those systems are overwritten, rotated, or deleted in the ordinary course of business.

13. Data Security & Security Incidents

We use reasonable administrative, technical, physical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, acquisition, disclosure, alteration, destruction, loss, or misuse.

Depending on the systems and information involved, these safeguards may include access restrictions, authentication controls, secure technology providers, appropriate record handling, system monitoring, vendor-management practices, and other security measures.

We seek to limit access to sensitive personal information to agents, employees, contractors, and service providers who have a legitimate business, compliance, or insurance-related need for the information.

No method of internet transmission, telecommunications, or electronic storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure. We therefore cannot guarantee absolute security.

If a security incident involving personal information requires notification under applicable federal or state law, we will provide legally required notices to affected individuals, regulators, consumer-reporting agencies, or other parties as applicable.

14. Your Privacy Rights & State-Specific Rights

Privacy rights vary throughout the United States. Depending on your state of residence, the information involved, and applicable law, you may have certain rights regarding personal information maintained or processed by Umanzor Insurance Group.

Where applicable, these rights may include the right to:

  • Confirm whether we process personal information about you
  • Know or access personal information we maintain about you
  • Request information regarding categories of personal information collected, used, disclosed, sold, or shared
  • Correct inaccurate personal information
  • Request deletion of eligible personal information
  • Obtain a portable copy of certain personal information
  • Opt out of the sale of personal information where applicable
  • Opt out of sharing or processing for targeted advertising where applicable
  • Opt out of certain qualifying profiling or automated decision-making activities where applicable
  • Limit certain uses or disclosures of sensitive personal information where applicable
  • Withdraw consent for certain processing that is based on consent
  • Use an authorized agent to submit certain requests where permitted
  • Appeal certain decisions concerning a privacy request where applicable
  • Exercise applicable privacy rights without unlawful discrimination or retaliation

Umanzor Insurance Group will honor privacy rights that apply to the consumer and to the information at issue under applicable federal and state law.

Certain information may be exempt from some general state consumer privacy laws because it is regulated under federal or state insurance, financial-privacy, Marketplace, healthcare, or other specialized laws. Where such an exemption applies, we will continue to process the information in accordance with the law that governs it.

To submit an applicable privacy request, email [email protected] or contact us using the information below.

We may request information reasonably necessary to verify your identity before processing a privacy request. Verification requirements will depend on the nature and sensitivity of the request.

Where permitted by applicable law, an authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf. We may request proof that the agent has authority to act for you and may separately verify your identity where permitted.

We will respond to valid privacy requests within the timeframe required by applicable law.

If applicable law gives you a right to appeal a denial of a privacy request, you may submit an appeal by emailing [email protected] with the subject line Privacy Appeal.

15. Consumer Health Data

Certain states provide additional protections for information that qualifies as "consumer health data" or a similar category under state law.

To the extent Umanzor Insurance Group processes consumer health data that is subject to such a law and is not exempt under applicable insurance, financial, healthcare, or other specialized privacy laws, we will collect, use, disclose, and retain that information in accordance with applicable requirements.

We do not sell consumer health data for monetary consideration.

Where applicable law requires consent before collecting or sharing particular consumer health data, we will obtain legally required consent before conducting the applicable processing.

Depending on applicable law, consumers may have rights to access, correct, delete, or withdraw consent regarding qualifying consumer health data.

Umanzor Insurance Group does not use geofencing around healthcare facilities for the purpose of identifying, tracking, collecting data from, or sending advertising to consumers based on their presence at a healthcare facility.

Certain state laws may require a separate and distinct Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy if those laws apply to a particular business or processing activity. Any separate notice required by applicable law is supplemental to this general Privacy Policy.

16. Marketing Choices, Do-Not-Call & Consent Revocation

You may request that Umanzor Insurance Group stop or limit marketing communications at any time.

  • Reply STOP to an applicable marketing text message
  • Use the unsubscribe link in an applicable marketing email
  • Tell an agent or representative that you do not wish to receive further marketing calls
  • Call us at (954) 361-8229
  • Email us at [email protected]
  • Use another reasonable consent-revocation method recognized by applicable law

We will process valid opt-out, do-not-call, and consent revocation requests within the timeframe required by applicable federal or state law.

If you previously provided a telephone number and no longer own or use that number, please notify us so we can update our records.

17. Children's Privacy & Dependent Information

Our websites and marketing services are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 13.

We do not knowingly solicit personal information directly from children under 13 through general website or advertising lead forms.

Insurance applications and family coverage may require a parent, legal guardian, or other authorized adult to provide information about a minor child or dependent. Such information may be processed for legitimate eligibility, enrollment, underwriting, policy administration, coverage, or other legally permitted insurance purposes.

If we learn that personal information was provided directly by a child in a manner prohibited by applicable law, we will take reasonable steps to address or delete the information as required.

18. Third-Party Websites, Lead Forms & Services

Our website may contain links to or interact with third-party services, including insurance-carrier websites, Marketplace systems, enrollment platforms, social-media platforms, scheduling systems, and technology providers.

We may also receive information through lead forms or advertisements hosted by third parties such as Facebook, Instagram, Meta, Google, or other advertising platforms.

When you interact directly with a third-party platform, that platform may collect and process information under its own privacy policy before information is transmitted to Umanzor Insurance Group.

This Privacy Policy governs Umanzor Insurance Group's handling of information after we receive it. A third party's handling of information is governed by that third party's privacy policy and terms.

Umanzor Insurance Group is not responsible for the privacy, security, availability, content, or practices of third-party websites or services that we do not control.

We encourage consumers to review the privacy policies of insurance carriers, Marketplaces, social-media platforms, enrollment systems, and other third-party services they use.

19. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our insurance services, technology, advertising practices, service providers, privacy practices, regulatory requirements, or applicable federal or state law.

When changes are made, the revised Privacy Policy will be posted on this page and the "Last Updated" date above will be revised as appropriate.

Additional notice may be provided when required by applicable law.

We encourage consumers to review this Privacy Policy periodically to remain informed about our privacy practices.
